Funky formal means classic formal wear with a fun twist – think flowing dresses, tailored suits and interesting prints or textures rather than traditional black-tie (we did meet in New Orleans, after all). Tuxedos aren’t necessary, and ties are optional. While black is welcome, we’d love guests to lean into color or softer tones if possible. The setting is outdoors in wine country in August, so light, breathable fabrics and grass-friendly shoes are recommended.

Both. The ceremony and dinner will be held outdoors and the reception will move inside. It’s likely to be very hot during the ceremony, and we recommend bringing a light layer for when the sun drops.
